His research interests focus on:
- Software protection: Quantitative prediction models for estimating the strength of code obfuscation
- Threat modeling: Inference of cyber defense strategies through reinforced threat modeling
Bio
Sebastian Schrittwieser is a Postdoc in the Security and Privacy group at the University of Vienna. In 2014, he completed his Ph.D. studies in technical sciences in the field of information security at the Vienna University of Technology. From 2015 to 2020, he headed the JR-Center for Unified Threat Intelligence on Targeted Attacks and from 2018 to 2020 the Institute of IT Security Research, St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences.
He has authored papers in several top-tier venues such as NDSS, USENIX Security, ACSAC, and ACM Computing Surveys and was PC chair of several conferences and workshops including ARES.
Sebastian is also the Co-Founder of Kibosec, a company targeting human aspects of information security.
