Research Interests
Mark’s research activities in the Digital Preservation field included work on the evaluation of emulation, preservation of interactive content and video game preservation.
Bio
Mark holds a master’s degree in Computer Science from the TU Wien as of November 2007 and is currently completing a Ph.D. at the Department of Software Technology and Interactive Systems at TU Wien on the topic of Digital Preservation, where he is also employed as a research assistant. Mark has been employed as a researcher for SBA Research since 2010. Mark works in the “Data Security and Privacy” field with a special focus on Digital Preservation. Mark was a local organiser at the iPres 2011 conference and authored numerous papers at refereed international conferences and journal articles. He is also a reviewer and co-reviewer for several international conferences (such as iPres). Besides his research activities Mark is currently working on application management at a major player in the financial sector in Austria with a focus on data management, groupware and payment transaction management.
