Research Interests
Manuel’s research interests include combinatorial security testing with a focus on protocol, firmware and web vulnerabilities, reverse engineering, and dynamic analysis.
His current work aims to bridge the gap between the state of research in combinatorial testing and its use in the industry for software development, certification, and penetration testing.
Bio
Manuel was introduced to information security while graduating from a technical college. After performing research on mobile messenger, cloud storage and JavaScript engine security, he obtained bachelor’s and master’s degrees on IT and information security from FH St. Pölten. He is currently working on a PhD thesis that aims to infer input parameter models for combinatorial testing using reverse engineering methods.
