Research Interests
His research interests focused on Software and Systems Engineering (SSE) methods and processes, SSE Quality Assurance, Process Improvement, Data Analytics, Empirical Software Engineering, Multi-Disciplinary Engineering, and Industry 4.0.
Bio
Dietmar received a Master of Science and a PhD degree in Computer Science from TU Wien.
He worked as key researcher for engineering process improvement in the “Christian Doppler Laboratory on Software Engineering Integration for Flexible Automation Systems (CDL-Flex) and the Christian Doppler Laboratory on Security and Quality Improvement in the Production Systems Life Cycle (CDL-SQI). In 2021 and 2022 he headed the external module of CDL-SQI with focus on quality improvement at TU Wien.
He published 130+ papers in refereed journals and at international conferences. Furthermore, he supervised 100+ thesis on Bachelor and Master level at TU Wien.
Currently, he is working as senior researcher at SBA Research and as area manager at the Austrian Center for Digital Production (ACDP). In addition, Dietmar teaches graduate courses on Software Engineering, Software Quality Assurance, and Software Testing at TU Wien.
