Talk Abstract
Compliance & secure software development – a future “must-have”
“Shift left” is a buzzword when it comes to developing your own software development cycle in the direction of security (SDLC). However, many technicians struggle with such process-oriented issues and shy away from the effort.
At the same time, this “overhead” is often not yet correctly classified by decision-makers. This is because current developments regarding cybersecurity-related regulations, such as NIS-2 or the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) in particular, require a structured management system for secure software development agendas. There is no such thing as “a little bit compliant” – so the path is clearly defined.
OWASP SAMM is a framework with the aim of making your own SDLC measurable and is an exciting and surprisingly interesting introduction to the process-oriented way of thinking, especially for devs & ops (and everyone in between) who are used to working hands-on.
