Key Researcher Talk – “Process Automation and Process Mining in Smart Manufacturing”
Process automation and process mining are perceived as hot topics offering great prospects in future. This talk will reflect on process automation scenarios in smart manufacturing. The manufacturing domain is chosen as it offers several challenges arising from complex process networks connecting the physical world (machines, sensors, etc), an existing system landscape, and human actors. We will elaborate on how mastering process automation can offer novel ways of collecting data in an integrated and contextualized way which, in turn, paves the way for developing exciting new process mining techniques.
