The Network Security and Critical Infrastructure Security Group (ERIS) is looking for a junior researcher (equivalent to student assistant) with good programming skills, preferably a Bachelor or Master’s student in computer science, to collaboratively work on a power grid modeling research project.
It is possible to integrate your bachelor/diploma/master thesis into this project. Team ERIS has wide-ranging technical know-how and will provide necessary support. SBA Research therefore offers an interesting environment to gain first research and professional experience.

Your tasks
- Further development of a simulation framework of the Austrian power grid (written in python)
- Collaboration on the simulation interfaces with partner institutions
- Participation in team activities
Profile
- Bachelor/Master student of computer science (or similar)
- Knowledge in Programming (preferably python)
- Interest in interdisciplinary topics
- Problem solving skills and curiosity for new topics
- No prior knowledge on the power grid necessary
