This year’s Conference on the 15th of January was themed: Cyber Resilience und Artificial Intelligence and provided updates on innovations and developments in the areas of cyber resilience, artificial intelligence, compliance, and governance, while outlining potential impacts on companies and individuals. These topics affect nearly everyone, and the exchange of experiences offered significant value.

Our colleague Stefan Jakoubi, Director of Professional Services, and Jimmy Heschl, Head of Digital Security at Red Bull, moderated the conference.

Andreas Ekelhart and Sebastian Schrittwieser gave an interesting talk on Cybersecurity and LLMs: How Language Models Are Transforming the Security Landscape

Abstract: The rapid advancements in Large Language Models (LLMs) are increasingly revolutionizing various fields and gaining importance in cybersecurity. This talk provides an overview of the potential of LLMs for security-related tasks based on the current state of research. The focus spans both defensive applications, such as secure software development and penetration testing, as well as offensive scenarios, including disinformation, social engineering, and malware. Additionally, we will highlight the risks and challenges associated with the use of LLMs in cybersecurity and discuss potential strategies for risk mitigation and safeguarding.
