Una-May O’Reilly: The Research ABC’s of Cyber Security: Agents, Bron, and Coevolution
Una-May O’Reilly is leader of the AnyScale Learning For All (ALFA) group at CSAIL, the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory of the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). ALFA focuses on scalable machine learning, evolutionary algorithms, and frameworks for large scale knowledge mining, prediction and analytics. The group has projects in cybersecurity, healthcare, and online education.
Her research group adheres to the ABCs principle. They are investigating the effective incorporation of Large Language Model (LLM) capabilities into cyber agents, establishing knowledge bridges to facilitate automated security processes, and studying the coevolutionary dynamics of security threats and counter-measures. She will elucidate their advancements in creating an autonomous red-team agent with LLM support, their utilization of LLMs to access semi-structured threat and defensive web-knowledge, and their integration of LLMs within coevolutionary algorithms.
