Female role models in IT, an interview with Stephanie Jakoubi @ Report
The IT sector in Austria makes a substantial contribution to the Austrian economy. Due to a shortage of skilled, it is in danger of running out of steam. The fact that there are not enough female technicians is mainly due to the traditional role model in IT. In the interview with Report Verlag Stephanie Jakoubi is talking about still existing stereotypes of IT specialists, how diverse the jobs in the field of IT are, and the need for changes in the educational system. Most of the time it is still a coincidence, that women end up working in IT and finding their passion there. That has to change. With the promotion of female students, SBA would like to contribute to inspiring more women to take up IT.
