Today, we celebrate Safer Internet Day—an initiative dedicated to promoting safer and more responsible use of digital technologies. We’re proud to take action not just today, but throughout the entire year, with activities focused on cybersecurity awareness and skills development:
- Community Exchange – Cybersecurity Awareness Stammtisch
End users are the most important and strongest link in the security chain. Awareness is therefore one of the most important success criteria for more IT security in companies. But we all know that: In practice, it is a major challenge to promote awareness and know-how for more cybersecurity. That’s why we – SBA Research and ÖIAT – have launched a non-profit initiative: the Cybersecurity Awareness Stammtisch to share insights, discuss best practices, and enhance our collective cybersecurity knowledge.
- Cyber Security Quiz
The free Cyber Security Quiz offers a broad overview of the challenges, from malware and online fraud to data protection and online hate. The content is presented briefly, playfully and interactively in four topics. The Cyber Security Quiz is the joint initiative of a constantly growing group of stakeholders with the aim of promoting digital skills in the field of cyber security. Initiators and leading contributors to the technical and content (further) development of the Cyber Security Quiz are SBA Research, Cyber Security Austria, ovos, saferinternet.at/Austrian Institute for Applied Telecommunications and fit4internet. Practice on your own or take part in an Austria-wide quiz duel and become a Cyber Security Master!
- SHECURITY – Hacker Training for Women
We offer regular and free training courses to girls and women who are interested in IT security and want to learn more about the technical side of security. The hacker training courses offer a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the fascinating world of digital defense and attacks and to get to know the diversity and creative perspectives. The SHECURITY Hackerinnen-Training are co-organized with Cyber Security Austria (CSA) and TU Wien CYSEC. Join at any time!
