Tomasz Miksa @ EOSC Winter School 2025
Tomasz Miksa, senior researcher at SBA Research, recently participated in the EOSC Winter School 2025, held from January 20–23 in Seville, Spain. Attending as the Technical Coordinator of the OSTrails project and a member of the EOSC Technical and Semantic Interoperability Task Force, Tomasz contributed to discussions on advancing the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).
Organized by the EOSC Association with support from Horizon Europe EOSC-related projects, this year’s Winter School focused on fostering convergence and collaboration to support the build-up phase of the EOSC Federation. The event brought together key stakeholders from across the EOSC ecosystem, including representatives from the EOSC-A Board and Secretariat, the European Commission, Opportunity Area Expert Groups, and EOSC-A Task Forces.

Participation in the event was selective, ensuring a focused exchange of ideas to harmonize efforts and strengthen synergies across EOSC’s broad community. The discussions underscored EOSC’s mission to provide a federated and open environment for European researchers, innovators, companies, and citizens. This multidisciplinary platform enables users to publish, discover, and reuse data, tools, and services for research, innovation, and education.
