IEEE Euro S&P 2024: A Resounding Success in Vienna!

We are thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of IEEE Euro S&P 2024, held in the city of Vienna! This year’s conference brought together more than 300 leading experts, researchers, and practitioners from 32 countries in the field of cybersecurity, offering an unparalleled platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration.

The main conference included two invited talks, a mentoring session, and a poster session, as well as 45 interesting presentations in 9 sessions.

Highlights of IEEE Euro S&P 2024

Insightful Keynotes
by Christopher Kruegel on “The Last Line of Defense” and Alina Oprea on On the Security and Privacy Risks of Generative AI Systems:

Cutting-Edge Research
Participants had the opportunity to explore a wide range of cutting-edge research papers presented during the conference. The sessions covered a diverse array of topics, from cryptographic advancements to emerging threats and mitigation strategies.

Engaging Workshops
12 exciting workshops provided attendees with hands-on experience and practical knowledge. These sessions were designed to foster collaboration and skill-building, ensuring that participants left with actionable insights to apply in their own work.

Mentoring Session
The mentoring session was highly appreciated, providing valuable guidance to attendees. It was organized into four main groups, each focusing on crucial aspects of a researcher’s career and personal development: Career during and after PhD, Scientific Communication and Presentation Skills, Work-Life Balance, Setting Personal Goals, and Boundaries and Publishing and Research Integrity.

Networking Opportunities
Euro S&P 2024 facilitated numerous networking opportunities, allowing attendees to connect with peers, establish new partnerships, and strengthen existing relationships. The exchange of ideas and experiences was invaluable, contributing to the overall success of the event.
