SBA Research has been authorized by the CVE® Program as a CVE Numbering Authority (CNA)!
We’re proud to share that SBA Research has been appointed as one of Austria’s few CVE Numbering Authorities (CNAs). This designation recognizes our commitment to cybersecurity excellence.
With only three other authorities in Austria, being authorized as a CVE Numbering Authority underscores our expertise and dedication to maintaining the security and integrity of digital ecosystems. As a CNA, SBA Research will contribute to the global effort of identifying and addressing vulnerabilities, thus ensuring a safer online environment for businesses and individuals alike.
What does this mean?
- Timely Vulnerability Identification: Our CNA status enables us to speed up assigning CVE IDs to vulnerabilities we find in third-party products (which are not within the scope of another CNA), thereby ensuring faster detection and mitigation of security risks.
- Enhanced Collaboration: As part of the CVE ecosystem, we will collaborate closely with other CNAs, vendors, and researchers to foster greater transparency and cooperation in addressing cybersecurity challenges.
- Global Impact: By participating in the CVE Program, we contribute to the global cybersecurity community and strengthen defenses against emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
