SBA @Troopers 2023

On June 29, Martin Grottenthaler attended the Troopers conference in Heidelberg to present on vulnerabilities in Windows environments. The two-and-a-half-day conference featured talks on attack and defense strategies, Active Directory/Windows, and several other general topics. The keynote address was delivered by Mikko Hyppönen, and notable speakers included thegrugq, Dirk-jan Mollema, Dr. Nestori Syynimaa, among many others.

The conference revolved around “The Power of Coercion Techniques in Windows Environments,” and Martin had the opportunity to share my findings and research. The atmosphere was vibrant, with security experts from around the world engaging in fruitful discussions and exchanging knowledge and experiences.

The talks on various attack methodologies and defense mechanisms applicable to Windows environments were particularly intriguing. The speakers provided insights into the latest threats and demonstrated how organizations can enhance their infrastructure protection.

Besides the informative presentations, the Troopers conference offered ample networking opportunities, fostering the exchange of ideas among attendees.
