Simin Ghesmati @Monerokon 2023

On the 23rd of June the Monerokon took place again and our colleague Simin Ghesmati had the pleasure to give a talk there. The Monero Konferenco is an annual gathering that attracts privacy advocates, scientists, and philosophers from around the world. This event is purposefully designed to disseminate scientific and technical results in privacy and financial technologies, with a primary focus on censorship-resistant digital cash. It provides a platform for the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and innovations in the field of privacy and financial technologies. Simin presented a paper at Monero Konferenco 2023 in Prague, which centred on the paper titled “Classification and Evaluation of Bitcoin Privacy Techniques.”

Simin’s presentation revolved around the research paper titled “Classification and Evaluation of Bitcoin Privacy Techniques.” This paper represents a significant contribution to the field, as it thoroughly examines and evaluates various privacy techniques utilized within the Bitcoin blockchain. The central aim of the presentation was to shed light on the state of privacy in Bitcoin, the limitations of current techniques, and the emerging challenges that need to be addressed.

The primary focus of Simin’s talk was to provide an in-depth comparison and evaluation of existing privacy techniques in the Bitcoin blockchain. By systematically categorizing these techniques and analysing their strengths and weaknesses, the talk aimed to offer a comprehensive understanding of the current state of privacy within Bitcoin.
