Ludwig Kampel joined the 13th Learning and Intelligent OptimizatioN Conference (LION13), a conference aiming to explore the intersections and unknown territories between machine learning, artificial intelligence, mathematical programming and algorithms for hard optimization problems. On the first day of the conference Ludwig presented the paper “How to use Boltzmann Machines and Neural Networks for Covering Array Generation”, a joint work with Michael Wagner, Dimitris E. Simos and Ilias S. Kotsireas, that presents the first approach based on artificial neural networks for the construction of covering arrays.
